Stupid baby monitor tricks

Our first baby monitor was inexpensive, but not very good -- it had too much static, and resulted in too much feedback. We then replaced it with a "noise free" digital baby monitor, and that one works very well. Almost too well!

We were preparing to leave the house with Jac, and I realized that I didn't have my cell phone. Taj called my cell phone with hers so that we can spot it quickly. Well, it turned out the phone was right by the couch.

Or, so we thought. We ended up digging in and around the couch for minutes, thinking that it had somehow rolled off while I napped there the previous evening. Nope.

We finally found the phone -- in our bedroom (where Jac sleeps with us), a few feet away from the monitor base. We had been fooled by the receiver (and charging base) that we leave next to the living room couch.
