No. 2 is definitely a boy

No. 2 is being followed very closely these last few weeks. Now that he has entered his 36th week we are having twice weekly NSTs. Each time we go in it takes at least an hour! The problem for us with these tests is that I can't hold Jac during them! I did it for the first one as I had been bringing Jac to all of my appointments up until that point and I had been able to manage him during most of the ultrasounds since they are fairly short. I forgot how long the NST was going to take. Fortunately he fell asleep during that first one and it was not too tough. All of the other ones Joseph has had to accompany me to.

The good news is that No. 2 is doing very well on these tests and has been passing the NST full-term criteria for several weeks now. This means that his heart rate shows enough accelerations for long enough, and close enough together.

The current estimate is that he is 6.2 pounds and from a very good ultrasound image it is quite clear that he is a boy! Yeah for Daddy! The doctor thinks that he will be in the low 7 pound range when he is born. Joseph and I were both about 6.5 pounds when we were born so 7 poundsish would be about right for No. 2.
