A few days ago Jac started sticking out his tongue - all the time! At first I thought this was from the reflux (he did this when he was in the hospital when he was having bad reflux) but this looked a bit different. We had a public health nurse in today and she told me that the "tongue thing" is a natural reflex - and usually newborns do it - but because Jac was born prematurely his reflex may have just kicked in. It is very cute and he does it most of the time when he is awake now.
He has a very expressive body and face to begin with and this just adds to the effect. He is smiling more and more and making more and more noises also.
